Why Would You Want To Become A
Core Contributor To THE PORFOLIO?
(And why, as a lover of fine literature, would you
want to become a regular visitor?)
you’re a writer (OF ANY GENRE) who feels you have something worthy to offer;
you’re a reader who appreciates “literature for the discerning reader”;
you think it’s great to be able to add your personal links to your posts- your site(s), storefronts and anything else that will serve to further your work;
you would like to be associated with a professionally designed site that offers quality content, both in a proffered and a “static” venue;
you are interested in expanding your network, for both professional and social reasons;
you interested in finding additional marketing, advertizing and traffic exchange opportunities;
you are always in search of discovering additional income opportunities (95% of writers are properly allocated to the “starving” class);
you’re looking for new writers’ groups, club & organizations;
you like a site that has a wide array of reference links at your fingertips;
as either a writer or a reader, you appreciate have a “site search” option to quickly find material you’re looking for;
you are pleased that this site has a foreign language translation feature that can readily disseminate your contributions to a worldwide audience;
you like the idea of having your peers screened before they are approved to post;
as a reader, you like the feature of being able to offer unapproved commentary on what you read;
you are impressed by the fact that you go to a site that has a list of more than 70 social networking you might like to check out for reasons of your own;
it’s a good feeling to know that your contributions will be highly syndicated by scores of links to official feeds and similar blogs;

you would like to be a fellow contributor to a site whose owner is always open to new ideas and suggestions for improvements, additional content and is very proactive in helping other to gain as much additional exposure as possible;
you think the site concept is refreshing and unique in a market today where sites are predominately “something for something”, whereas there are almost no conditions, costs or commitments required to promote your literary efforts for absolutely nothing, other than the blood, sweat and tears you shed in creating your own work(s);

“Aside from being one of the most professionally designed writer exchange sites that I have seen to date, this site seems to be truly unique in one special way...it's approach and offerings.
My experience with most such sites has been that most simply offer a "posting board" for writers to use attempting simply to offer some sort of "feedback device" to members in developing a respective writing project. This site however seems to be offering a chance to become involved in a "writing community" much more directed at the development of the writer as a professional building a career rather than just a writer writing a give piece of work.

Richard Kennedy a novelist, poet, philosopher and littérateur. His works include the anthology, House Of December, originally published in 1972, and his novels: Simon, The Dunning Of Harley Nesbit, and The Trip. His newest volume of verse, Love & Similar States Of Insanity, will be released in January of 2008, and his latest novel, The Encuentro, is due to be published in the summer of 2008. In addition, he is also compiling a volume of essays, Broken Sparrows And Wild Duct Tape, and his philosophical treatise, Psychophysics: The Point Of Everything, will soon follow that. An honors graduate of the University of Houston, where he received the prestigious Houston Psychological Association’s Award For Excellence In Psychology upon graduation, he resides in the DFW area.
In his own provocative, controversial and inimitable style, Kennedy turns his attention to the convention of verse again for the first time in over three decades. Regarding no subject as “inviolable,” he offers up cogitations of another kind as he thoughtfully explores and expounds on the universal themes of life and love, God and religion and “being alive,” with a particular emphasis on the notion of “sanity”. Underpinning many of his meditations with what he calls Psychophysics, a new school of thought he has created that will be address in full upon the release of his philosophical treatise: Psychophysics: The Point Of Everything, his work also provides us with a new turn of phrase– philosophy in motion.
